The Information Services staff began moving into their new workstations last Friday. There are a few outstanding issues with some of the new furniture which should be corrected by the end of the week. Temporary walls/barriers will begin to be installed in 1st Stop and AV Center areas, information desk and check out counters beginning Monday. Some existing shelving in 1st stop will be relocated to the new Genre area. The sorting function will be located in the new fiction book stack area starting Monday. Installation of the compact stacks, touch up painting, conduit work for security gates will continue. Installation of new light fixtures will begin and duct work associated with improved HVAC should approach completion. Placement of custom casework, Genre paging desk and AV staging desk will be completed.
