The end of the renovation work is approaching. The contractor is finishing many parts of the work including patching and painting walls and ceilings, sealing the new linoleum and limestone flooring, bolting the new shelving to the floor, compact stack installation and flooring, new electrical and data cables pulled and major cleaning. Parts of the new Internet, Catalog and AV viewing stations are arriving daily along with the new wood canopies for the shelving. The new light fixtures for the top of the shelving are being fabricated. Behind the scenes the staff freight elevator is being modified so the door will open into the new sorting area where the automated sorting unit is being assembled. By the next update we should know the substantial completion date so a date for re-opening can be announced.
