The installation of the new Information Desk, the new page desk & the new catalog stations continues. The installation and bolting of the new shelving in the former 1st Stop area is almost done and this will allow library staff to start moving collections into the new space. The new flooring and lighting will be finished and the new glass doors and new clear glass panes will also be finished. Patching and painting continues as well as electrical work for the new lighting on the shelving. The automated sorting equipment has arrived and is being installed during the next 2 weeks. The complete new HVAC system will be commissioned on Monday. Fire, life, safety systems continue to be worked on and tested. Most of the noisy drilling is finished though there will continue to be sawing and sanding noises until the cabinetry is finished.
