Installation of the carpet in the 1st Floor staff area was completed last week. Installation of the new workstations started last week and will continue this week. Moveable walls for the sorting area and offices are being erected. The glass subcontractor will be laying out the dimensions of the glass enclosure for the automated return units and conveyor belt system that will be located in the former Registration area. Leveling work will begin where the new limestone will be placed when it arrives from France. Final plans for the new lighting above the shelving will be finished and the new fixtures ordered. Building of the new display cabinets for CD’s & DVD’s will begin. Installation of a slat wall with counters holding PC’s for registration & ecommerce will start. Parts of the circulation desk will begin arriving to be assembled after the limestone arrives. Repair of the venetian plaster will occur. Work in the men’s lst Floor restroom continues as well as plumbing work in the lower level. The re-carpeting of the main part of the 3rd floor will be substantially completed.
