The 1st Floor Women’s restroom re-opened on May 11th. The 1st Floor Men’s restroom will be closed on Monday, May 14th for renovation that includes new paint, new tile, new self-flush toilet, new stalls, new lighting and expanded air capacity. During the closure of 4-5 weeks, the Lower Level and the 3rd Floor restrooms remain open. Floor coverings will be completed and new work station parts will be delivered in the staff areas. Plumbing work continues on the lower level. Wall & plaster finishes are progressing as well as work on the staff elevator. The 3rd Floor re-carpeting work will begin in the International Center on Monday night. Monday afternoon furniture will be moved so there will be no seating on that side of the floor as well as no access to the study rooms for 2 days. Data and telephone jack work will begin in the 5th Floor Telecom room and affect the public computers on the Magazine & Newspaper Center side of the floor as well as the reference desk. Watch for signs on the 5th Floor to direct you to librarians and other computers.
