The newly renovated Borrower Services area has been open for a week using the multi-purpose desk to issue library cards. This week the desk will also be used for circulation in preparation of the closing of the former circulation counters. These counters will be demolished to make room for the new Information Desk. Work on the HVAC and electrical system continues in the former Technical Services area as well as replacement of frosted glass with clear as we turn that area into public space. New Internet work stations for the 1st Stop area are being constructed as well as new viewing/listening stations for the AV Center. Some areas of the new 3rd Floor carpet will be replaced on Tuesday and Wednesday nights resulting in some tables and public Internet stations not being available.
