Work behind the scenes continues this week with more electrical, mechanical and fire system improvements. Subcontractors are busy manufacturing work stations, cabinetry, carpet, linoleum and glass for installation later in the project. New signage on the 1st Floor is in place to help patrons find all the relocated services. A handout with the temporary map and description of the renovation is available at all reference desks.
Ceiling work begins in the women’s restroom and may require temporary closures during the day. Additional restrooms are available on the Lower Level and Third Floor. Don’t forget to visit the temporary AV Center on the 4th floor for DVD’s, CD’s, feature films on video, and books on tape/CD. Non-Fiction and International films on video are still on the 1st Floor. All new non-fiction will be located in subject departments after this week. For patron’s convenience 2006 & 2007 stickers have been added to the spine of the books to help you locate newer material.
