Many activities are occurring in the former Technical Services area to make it ready for the public. HVAC and electrical work continue to improve the temperature and lightning. Sprinklers and other fire protection equipment are being upgraded. Patching and painting the walls is beginning. The new wall separating the public area from the compact stacks is being completed and inspected. The floor is being prepared for the various kinds of new floor coverings. The 1st Stop area where the Internet computers, the non-fiction videos & the new fiction are located will be closed in about 3 weeks. Closing this area will allow us to upgrade the lighting, shelving, flooring and add more Internet stations. Internet computers are available on all other floors of the library and new fiction will be located on the 3rd Floor. The temporary location of the AV Center on the 4th Floor will continue to have many DVDs, CDs, videos & audiobooks available.
