(This item is to allow the City Librarian to report on recent Library activities and make announcements)
This report will consist of reports on: Inventory and Collection Refreshment (document attached); Report on ALA
Conference; CIPA update; ALA Wells Fargo homeownership program; Grapes of Wrath grants; and Exhibits and Programs.
- ACTIONPURCHASE & SALE AGREEMENT: GLEN PARK
Presentation of, discussion of, and possible action to endorse and recommend that the Board of Supervisors approve
a proposed Purchase and Sale Agreement for the new Glen Park Branch Library.

- ACTIONPURCHASE & SALE AGREEMENT: MISSION BAY
Presentation of, discussion of, and possible action to endorse and recommend that the Board of Supervisors approve
a proposed Purchase and Sale Agreement for the new Mission Bay Branch Library.

Presentation of and discussion of an update report on the 2002/03 Library Budget.

(This item is to allow the Friends and Foundation of the San Francisco Public Library to inform the Commission of
their current and proposed activities.)
- LABOR UNION REPORT
(This item is to allow members of library labor organizations to report on employee matters within the Commission’s
purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.)
- NEW BUSINESS
(This item is to allow Commissioners to introduce new agenda items for consideration.)
- PUBLIC COMMENT
(This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the Commission’s purview as
well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.)
