Make your own bag out of a t-shirt.  You will learn how to cut up a t-shirt and make a very stylish fringe bag perfect for toting groceries or your libary books!  Bring your own t-shirt or use one we provide.

Are you a fiction reader looking for a good book to read? With all of the millions of books out there, how can you find one you will enjoy? Do you prefer short stories to novels? Mystery to science fiction? Whatever your preferences, you can learn how to easily find books that you are sure to love. Among the long list of the library’s online databases, there are several geared to finding fiction books based on your reading interests.

Celebrate summer by sending your friends a card that will sprout beautiful flowers or fragrant herbs! Learn how to make your own seed paper from scratch and take home a card or two that will surely delight whomever you decide to send it. Jeweler extraordinaire Chelsee Robinson will guide you in learning the latest techniques & applications.  Work with real stones, crystals, beads and more to create a beautiful necklace, bracelet or earrings!  All materials provided.  Space is limited and pre-registration is required.

GoGo Craft will show you how to make your very own customized tote bag that is perfect for carrying your library books or shopping at your local farmer’s market.  Appliqué a cotton tote with San Francisco images like the Golden Gate Bridge, cable car, or your favorite landmark.  Tote Bag provided.  This workshop is  for makers of any skill level ages 13 and up. Cross-stitch for beginners!  With simple step-by-step instructions GoGo Craft will show you the basics of cross-stitch while you make a really cool pin.  Perfect for crafters of any level.  Materials and instruction provided.  (4-5 other design templates will be provided for students).

Class runs from 6 to 7:30p.m. Ages 13 and up. Classes are free and you don't need to register in advance, but we do have limited seating for 40 so come early. Doors open at 5:45pm.
