African American Quilts

Event detail

Come with us on a PeopleOlogie field trip!  We're headed to the South where generations of folks still make quilts today using patterns that their ancestors did during slavery and along the infamous Underground Railroad. Along with a slide show and touchable artifacts, you’ll use your imagination to create a cooperative no-sew quilt and wall-hanging  to display communally in the Library.
