Royal Treasures from the Louvre: Louis XIV to Marie Antoinette
The Louvre is the repository for the great treasures of royal patronage. The gifts to kings and queens on display include the hard-stone vases collected by Louis XIV, diamond and gem-studded snuff boxes, and Marie Antoinetteʼs private collection of precious gold-mounted objects.
