
As part of SFPL’s African American Interest Committee’s Voter Empowerment Series, we are pleased to welcome District 10 Supervisor Malia Cohen, author/media specialist JR Valrey and San Francisco State University professor of political science Dr. Robert C. Smith in discussion about President Barack Obama and his presidency. This exciting event will be moderated by former CBS news anchor Barbara Rodgers in the Koret Auditorium on Sunday September 23rd at 1:30p.
The discussion will focus on President Obama’s first term in office, his relationship with Congress, the challenges of racism while in office as well as other key issues that have faced the President during his tenure. Voter registration will be available beginning at 12p. The discussion will be followed by a Q & A. Be there for this informative, candid and enlightening affair.
