NOTICE OF MEETING
A regular meeting of the San Francisco Public Library Commission will be held as follows:

The meeting will be called to order.
1. PUBLIC COMMENT
(This item is to allow members of the public to comment generally on matters within the
Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.)
2. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES ACTION
Presentation, discussion and possible action to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of March 15, 2007.

Presentation, discussion and possible action to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of April 5, 2007.

4. RENEWAL OF LIBRARY PRESERVATION FUND ACTION
Discussion and possible
action regarding Library Commission’s recommendation to the Board of
Supervisors to place a City Charter amendment on the November 2007 ballot to renew
the Library Preservation Fund for 15 years and to authorize the issuance of debt
secured by the Fund.

5. CITY LIBRARIAN’S REPORT by Luis Herrera DISCUSSION
(This item is to allow the City Librarian to report on recent Library activities and make announcements)
The City Librarian will give updates on the following topics: City Controller’s scope of review of the Branch Library Improvement Program (BLIP), schedule of budget hearings and highlights on exhibitions and programs.

6. FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY REPORT DISCUSSION
(This item is to allow the Friends of the San Francisco Public Library to inform the
Commission of their current and proposed activities.)
7. COUNCIL OF NEIGHBORHOOD LIBRARIES (CNL) REPORT DISCUSSION (This item is to allow the CNL to inform the Commission of their current and proposed activities.)
8. LABOR UNION REPORT DISCUSSION
(This item is to allow representatives of library labor organizations to report on employee matters within the Commission’s purview as well as to suggest new agenda items for the Library Commission’s consideration.)
9. NEW BUSINESS DISCUSSION
(This item is to allow Commissioners to introduce new agenda items for consideration.)
